There is a particular style of soap made in olive-growing villages across the Mediterranean — sometimes called "village soap" or Aleppo-style soap in neighboring traditions. It is olive oil, water, and lye, slowly saponified into a hard, long-curing bar with a creamy lather and a soft, neutral scent. No essential oils. No added fragrance. No colorants. Just the oil itself.

Mavras Pure is that bar. Each 150g block is poured by hand using olive oil pressed near the slopes of Mount Ida (Kaz Dağları) in northwestern Türkiye, then cured slowly to develop firmness and mildness. The result is a quietly excellent soap — the kind that does its job without fanfare.
